Can't see any wild battle pets on this character

I can’t see any wild battle pets on this character anywhere in world. I tried clearing cache and deleting addons; but then I realized I can see them on another Horde character on the same realm and on my Alliance characters on other realms. I also deleted all my quests on this character in case it’s some kind of phasing issue. I also recently boosted this guy to 60. I’m at a loss…

Are you tracking battle pets on your minimap?

Yep, I can see the battle pet quest givers as a green paw, but the battle pets themselves in the wild are not visible at all on the map or in world.

The world map tracks the quest givers. The minimap tracks the individual wild pets.

I’m not at home so can’t do a screenshot, but just click the icon on left side of where it shows the zone you are in as part of the minimap. That gives you all the tracking options.

I can see them as critters and kill them with my character, but I can’t engage in a pet battle with them. For example right now on Area 52 in Orgrimmar I can see the wild battle pets as green paws on my mini map on two of my other Horde characters but not this one (Orkrist) for some reason.

Oh okay. Has this character been able to do them before OR is it this character’s first time trying?

Having never done a boost before, I am not sure how the boost would have affected anything in regards to pet battle training. But has that character talked to the Orc up by the flightmaster to see if he needs to learn any pet battle training?

I’m not sure. I started the character from scratch and level one, took a break and came back he was in the 20’s or 30’s leveling, noticed I had a free boost and used it on him. I can do the battle pet quest givers, but can’t battle any wild pets. Since I can on my other characters on the same realm, I think it’s a character problem, probably related to the boost or phasing, but I haven’t figured out what yet. I tried going to that NPC and all he does is offer me a trade for stones or to buy a Shore Crawler. I tried using their support feature which redirects me to the website and it’s awful. It’s such a weird, niche problem.
