I got killed in a BG and then I couldn’t release for some reason, it was grayed out. I have never had this happen before.

Sometimes happens due to lag or glitches in the mainframe, /reload normally solves the problem and if not /run RepopMe() will release your spirit.

We had a GY glitch on WSG last night. No timer in the middle of the BG fight for like 10 secs, then the full timer for 30 secs finally appeared. It happens I guess.
I’m guessing news of your death hadn’t yet reached that great cloud based server thing they use now.
It did it to me in arenas too. The guy in chat actually ended up AFKing so I went to report him and it wouldn’t let me because of an add-on issue. I’m guessing it was also the reason I couldn’t release.
