Cant even read any chat anymore, constant raid selling services spammed non stop.

Yeah i got chats turned off a while ago at this point, not only for that reason but it’s part of it.
For those that wanna make use of those services i got no problem with it, just that + people going off clutters my chat window a lil too much lol

I agree, and I don’t even bother to read it anymore. If I want to talk broadly with others, I use 1 and hide 2.

If they’re selling in trade chat, that’s reportable and bannable. They should be posting in the services channel. Don’t be afraid to hit that report button.
And then you turn off the services channel. Now chat is readable.

If you get the global ignore addon there are a lot of great filters you can enable - sellers like you mentioned, politics, Chinese characters, etc. The filters are enabled simply by a check box so it’s really easy.

leave the trade - services channel. if they are in the regular trade channel, that is reportable.

The horrid thing is, that this chat is on by default when you walk into a major city. That is one awful new player experience.

Why is it not reportable in the services channel? I don’t get it.
Selling raid carries is allowed and considered a service, and is why that channel was created (to keep trade chat clear).

And ALL of them raid sellers are scammers. Not a single one of them is legit.
That is markedly false, depends on your server, but if you really want to buy a raid for a mount or whatever, the best guild on your server is generally legit selling them

On what is your statement based off of?
level 10 characters. I would assume legit people to actually be in a guild with completion and high IO
Level 10 is kinda sus but are they all low level without a guild/community etc?
Edit: I legit have no idea, I turned off service chat the moment I started playing WoW as it was way too much spam lol
and when u try to look in custom or lfg tabs -_- 90% is just spams for websites and junk
Yup, its just the people selling such services have taken to spamming all chat channels to reach a larger consumer base, despite breaking rules to do so.

I disable the services chat because it’s just non stop spam. As for trade, just quickly putting in a “LF crafter for X” usually gets me 2-5 whispers, so I can dip out of trade chat again.
On 52 at least, both those channels are just a waterfall of text. On a more chill server like Aggramar/Fizzcrank, you can put a LF crafter in trade and it’s 50/50 if anyone will even respond to you and the channel is a ghost town, heh.
