I’ve been trying to queue for blitz when in Affliction spec, but it gives me a timer with no average wait time. No matter how long I wait, I never get a queue. I can enter games with both destro and demo, but not affliction. Is there a way to fix this?

There are a lot of bugs all over the place with season 3. Blizzard has not commented much on these, particularly the PvP bugs, of which there are at least two. Submit a bug report. The more notice this gets, the more likely they are to respond.
This started the middle of last season. I thought I had been banned for some reason, but never received any notice.
Same with my Assassination Rogue… It’s been that way since the start of season 2 - and now into season 3. It doesn’t matter how long I wait - it doesn’t pop. No average timer. Nothing.
I switch to Sub - and it works fine.
If your MMR is really low you probably won’t get a match. A solution is to find a healer to duo queue with until your MMR is out of the mud.
It sucks and something Blizzard needs to fix.
Don’t ever try to carry people in blitz. If you get sucked into that 1500cr bottleneck I don’t care if you are a gladiator it takes a long time to get out!
Shouldn’t my MMR have reset at new season start? And even if it was low, I should still be able to queue for a game instead of having no average wait time at all.
No, it doesn’t reset. At least it didn’t between season 1 and 2.
And there’s a problem if your mmr gets too low you literally won’t get any games or will have to wait hours to get a match. It’s an issue known by the community but who knows if Blizzard is even aware.

Queuing as ret, with no rated history to speak of, I had to wait 48 minutes to get into a match that my team lost horribly because it seemed half the team was allergic to getting orbs.
Second Blitz game took almost 35 minutes in queue, lost that as well. Third game, 30 minute queue, WSG that was so bad you would have thought the resto druid on our team was trolling. In queue for a forth game, says the wait time is 20 min, but we’ll see.
These queue times are upsetting.

I just came back after a break. I no longer have the patience to wait more than 5 min in queue. Am I just hosed?
If your schedule allows, play at night.
I will try this. 10-20 minute queues are better than 30-40+ min queues.

Yeah even evening queues can be somewhat longish. 10 minute queue for a 10 minute game, lol.
I have tried playing at night and a 10 min queue felt amazing. I am not sure how much my rating is affecting this, but I am at 1500 rating now and the queue times feel much better.
