On my rogue I can buy all of the PvP gladiator xmogs (the set from my appearances tab) except for the gloves and belt. Even when I select the option to show all items they aren’t there…
How can this be an issue still this many weeks into the patch?
It has something to do with the vendor using armor pieces from multiple sets to accomplish the stat variation. Because some slots only have 2 possible options you may not get your class appropriate set as a choice.
It’s very odd but I guess it wasn’t something they thought about when they gave individual sets back again instead of having all armor wearers use the same set like S1/S2.
You get all appearances unlocked at 1800 rating, elite and regular appearances. Otherwise, if 1800 isn’t feasible for you I suspect you will have to wait until next expansion when they get re-added back through tokens for purchase.
Just wanted to add that the Creation Catalyst can also be used to convert off pieces to your “set” as well as main pieces.
While I would advise you to get your 4/4 set bonus items first, eventually you will be able to take your bracers, boots and belt to the Creation Catalyst and “covert” them into your tier.
This will unlock the base appearance of your set.
Elite versions will still be tied to rating unlocks.
Additionally, the “Elite Versions” of off set tier can be acquired if you purchase them from a vendor and upgrade them to duelist BEFORE converting them in the Creation Catalyst.
For example, as a Paladin players can purchase a crit/versa helm with the DK appearance

If you purchase this helm from the PvP Vendor, it will have the brown and blue coloring.
If you want this helm in the “Elite version” of this DK helm, the purple and white coloring, you can, but you must upgrade it to 8/9 Duelist ranking.
This paladin, for example.
- They purchased the DK helm look-a-like from the Vendor, and before converting it to their tier, upgraded it to 8/9 duelist ranking.
If you convert any item to your tier using the Creation Catalyst, it will take on the appearance of your tier.

Doesn’t that convert it to the PvE item xmog and not the gladiator xmog though? I don’t think they are the same colors or set.
Nope. PvP Items purchased from the vendor converted to Tier will have the same xmog as your PvP Set.
Raid and Mythic+ items gain from Dungeons, Raids or the Vault will be converted to your PvE xmog at appropriate item level.
(IE: 278 Mythic+ helm will convert to the Mythic Raid Color)
