Greetings,
I am making another thread here on the advice of another player. I cannot post on most forum topics, in fact i cant post or make a thread on any forum outside of the support section.
I get an error message at the top of my screen that says I must have an active world of warcraft account to post here. However, my account is active, I am literally playing the game right now.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Can’t really be done on most accounts, but simply go to the WoW Classic Wrath of the Lich King forum and try to make a post.
-
Observe that Create Thread is grayed out and there is no “reply to post” button on anyone’s posts.

Hmmm, I don’t know.
Are you “logged in” to the forums in the box on the upper right of the screen? Sometimes I get logged out somehow and when I log back in, it gives me one of my other character’s names to use.

Yo Arinassa, thanks for the response m8.
Yep am logged in on the top right, also tried relogging, didn’t change anything :(.
Blizzard often grants players a grace period of a couple of days after a sub runs out to play the game while a possible payment is processing. Don’t know the exact criteria they use to grant the grace period, but it seems to happen frequently.
The forums, however, run their own clock and do not have a grace period.
So, you may have access to the game but not to the forums due to the game grace period.
Conversely, when a sub is paid, the forums can lag a day or two behind resetting permissions to allow full access again. This is the situation where logging in and out a couple of times or resetting your account password can force a permission reset.

Hmm that might be the case right now, maybe the payment for the month’s sub is lagging through the system.
Any fix for this? I’ve been active for 3 weeks and still can’t post
try logging all the way out of the forum, and back in again
