Why? It’s super easy and it makes sense. That way you are guaranteed to be the same level so you won’t be one shooting everything or trying to figure out how to adjust your level to theirs.
A friend and I did this in Hallowfall ( I know that’s not DF) and she was like 60’s and it was the only way we could see each other and activate the world quest.
We haven’t tried it in DF yet
