I can’t even q with one friend… even in a 2 man party… wtf…
There is no premade or join-as-group function for AV.
There is for Warsong Gulch.
The way it is.
it was the only way for blizz to prevent multiboxers from infesting AV, along with the removal of /follow
You have to do what people did back then. Queue at the same time and check for the BG number and only join if it matches.
i’ve been trying to do taht for an hour. it doesnt work.
In reference to multi boxing. if they made it to level 60 multiboxing and didn’t get reported/banned good on them. But i haven’t seen a single multiboxer at level 60 my entire time playing.
It’s not against any rules so it would be quite easy.
They would only be banned if they did something against the rules (such as chat abuse, harassment, etc). Just playing a multibox isn’t considered wrong by Blizzard.
I’ve seen a few 60 multiboxers, it blows my mind really that people can handle levelling multiple toons in Classic. I struggle with one… ![]()
For real? That’s dumb.
Yeah I’m really disappointed to see this. I just want to play with my buddies.
I wish they would simply limit the “Join as group” option to parties of 5 or less.
Also, how do they detect multiboxers in retail? What is stopping multiboxers from queuing as a group in retail?
Well you can in warsong, and I’ve seen people join with friends for AV - how they do it is be in Discord or some other chat, the leader clicks the queue button a countdown (3-2-1-go), everyone clicks at the go and then they check to see if they are matching on the AV number. If most of them are, they take it. It seems to work reasonably well though you may get one or two who miss out.
As for multis in retail, it sometimes happens in battlegrounds. I tend not to stay around for those.
Interesting. I thought that was not allowed in retail.
Yup, I’m trying the countdown method. Not getting lucky unfortunately
There is no rule against it because its not a guaranteed exploit - sometimes it works and sometimes not and its about the same degree of luck as getting with anyone else.
Oh, you mean the multibox thing in retail? No, not against the rules. There was an issue where you could put your mb toons on Follow, but they fixed that.
What is the party limit for WSG?
Is it 5 or 10 people?
10 for warsong.
Umm, it’s not against the rules. There are lots of us multiboxing.
