My main content is Mythic+, and I’ve always relied on a WoW Token to cover my in-game expenses. In previous seasons, a single token provided enough gold to cover at least three months of consumables and repair costs. But with current prices, it’s becoming unsustainable.
Here’s the breakdown of my typical expenses per dungeon attempt:
Hearty Food: 750 gold
Weapon Oil: 110 gold
Flask: 580 gold
Repairs: 1,800 gold
That totals 3,240 gold per dungeon attempt. At the current WoW Token price of 280k gold, this means one token only covers about 84 dungeon runs.
This is a massive shift. These days, a WoW Token lasts me maybe 2–3 weeks, whereas it used to last months. The rising cost of consumables and repairs feels unmanageable without either spending real money more frequently or dedicating hours to farming.
I love Mythic+, but I play the game to push keys, not to grind gold endlessly just to afford the basics. If this trend continues, I’m seriously considering stepping away for the rest of the season.
If you’re seriously spending 1800g per dungeon in repairs, then you are dying too much and should seriously rethink what level you’re playing on at the moment,
Honestly, squeezing 2 dungeons into an hour flask is feat. Technically there’s time, but when you factor in setup time it’s probably 10-15mins too short. 90 min flasks would actually be ideal.
The only time I’ve ever spent that much gold in one go for repairs was the first time I entered high level delves and I was struggling to understand the concept of using my interrupt, because I was playing WWmonk and I’m DPS and Brann should do it for me??? Hello???
