Population is too imbalanced apparently, so they have locked Alliance creation on the server apparently. This completely destroyed my ability to join the Alliance and play with friends. What is the point of getting a subscription when I can’t even role on the faction I have always played?
Not interested in Horde, never played them, no desire to try them, I have been alliance for 15+ years. Just a bummer Blizz is so determined to turn away returning players.
Just keep trying at different times of the day. You can’t blame blizzard for Alliance being the popular faction or the alliance hard on with Paladins. lol
I would delete one of my alliance slots and give to you if I could. =)
They are balancing returning players vs existing players. The big unhappiness from Classic style servers is massive faction imbalance on the server via population. If they let anyone create on any faction, there would eventually be a decline in the underrepresented faction over time.
Yeah, this is not working sadly. I do not want to contribute to unbalancing a server, but the reality that the only good populated servers are ally locked, only proves that creating these mega servers with layering tech, is not good.
I remember and miss when servers were at max around 4-6k, which was plenty to have a good community and identity in those communities. The way they do things now seems to detract from a community, and consequently forces players who want to play a specific faction (in this case, Ally) and unable to, makes it meaningless to have a subscription.
It is what it is, so looks like I am out from being able to enjoy this type of server, seeing as I only play Alliance and have no desire to play Horde side.
