Unbelievable that I now have to sift through a mile of categories before being allowed to post my question, but I guess if they aren’t making EVER ASPECT of this game more of a P.I.T.A. then they just aren’t happy.
So I’m trying to complete my Draenor pathfinder in the Loremaster category and I’ve just about finished “Between Arak and a Hard Place” but I can’t seem to get the quest that starts “The Gods of Arak” storyline which I believe to be the quest “Talon Watch” (again; for all the time the devs put into this game, ie. UPDATES almost daily now for hours at a time some times you’d think there would bean actual official game based info area as opposed to the CHANCE that some player is going to offer up the info you need, but again THAT’S BUZZARD inc. for you: “Take the $ and Run”) .
I’ve done every storyline before this one and almost every storyline AFTER it (except the very last, which I’ve read is dependent upon all the ones previous to it) so I go to Talon Watch and Veil Tarok (or whatever its called as its blocked by an unreachable treasure icon on the map) and I’m getting nothing after sifting through pages upon pages of really almost unrelated “info” on various fan sites and laboring through every video that even mentions this quest but offers ZERO practical info to solve this problem, I’m stuck.
I ended up using the add-ons grail and wholly (they work together). this allowed me to see where quests started. I remember at least 1 or 2 quests in that zone would finish in 1 place but the next would start in a completely different part of the zone.
Thanks for responding.
I don’t ever use add-ons, but I think I might have to consider the one you mention.
I did actually end up putting in a ticket (after posting this thread) and the GM told me that I had completed the next quest and supposedly the entire chain, but now the question is (I do have a continuation ticket in on this one) why is the story-line “The Gods of Arak,” under the achievement “Between Arak and a Hard Place,” still grayed out if the whole chain has been completed?
Thanks again for offering your help.
UPDATE 2-10-20
Just to sew this up for anyone wondering, the issue was eventually sorted out magnificently by a GM named Oughathat who deserves props for (presumably) his outstanding help in resolving my issues with the quest and the chain. He managed to set me on the right track and offer valuable information (about the problem resolving the quest AS WELL AS the game) that I wasn’t aware of without simply handing me an “easy” answer, although the info. given made it all pretty easy in the end.
So anyone having issues with quests remember; 1) Always look for those “!” on the face of the map in the area(s) you are trying to complete your chain/storyline in and if you are still stuck contact a GM via the help section. It might take three tries (like me) to finally get one who can help, but you might get lucky and get GM Oughathat (or someone as good… if that’s possible) on the first try!
