Is this due to batching being removed (as I’m led to believe?) I’m having trouble just pick pocketing on its own as well, but the chance of it working with a macro’d opener is really low.
It worked in 2019+ Classic, but hasn’t in SoD and now in the Anniversary realms. If it’s gone, I would just like to know. If there’s something I may be doing wrong, I would like to know this as well… And I am using the very same macros I used in 2019 Classic.

Sounds like you haven’t played rogue before. It isn’t on the GCD, so it worked just fine previously.
ye this macro used to work before… I think they changed something about how macros works when casting 2 or more skills at the same time to prevent paladin’s seal twisting on SoD but it also affected classic Aniversary realms… thats my guess.
The Macros work just fine. You have to stop moving your toon before hitting the macro for the PP component to work. I use it every day on the anniversary HC server with cheap shot etc.
It does still work, but not as well. It used to be an extremely smooth thing, You use the macro on garrote, ambush or cheapshot and you pickpocket the moment you open. Hell, sometimes it was so fast I would just get the “extra” loot when I’d loot the corpse of that monster. But since SoD, the macro seems janky. You have to be standing still, at the right range, and half the time it still doesn’t work. It’s honestly not much different than just manually pick-pocketing before you open.
So yes, it does still work. But yes, something modern has changed how smoothly the macro operates and I find it 10x less effective now.
