Can't party sync with friend

I was leveling with my friend who I invited to try playing. We played several levels together in dragon isles and when I turned 70, it said my friend was in chromie time and party sync would not solve the issue and we were phased apart. they were level 45 I believe. Is there anything we can do to get party sync to work? I wanna continue experiencing dragon flight for the first time with them and not yet move on to the novel war within.

You won’t be able to go back and use Chromie Time, but your friend can leave it. They need to go talk to Chromie again and have them exit Chromie Time.

You should be able to party sync up again after that.

Have them be party lead when you guys sync back up, that way you will go down in level closer to them.

It won’t be exactly same as before but it should let you continue questing!
