Quest to go to shadowlands is not available.
I have been reading and someone said a friend could select chromie shadowlands on a new toon and then party sinc to do the quests. Is that really the only way??
You could check the command board in your faction capitol to see if there is a starting quest.

I believe you have to do the Maw introduction to open the portal.
Is this the first toon you’ve tried to do Oribos content?
I did shadowlands, but purchsed the new expansion which came with a 70 boost. This toon was about level 32, last played a bit in WoD. I used the boost, but could not use the oribos portal, so tried a few methods to get there.
I had a friend do party sinc and select SL for the work around.
I too had trouble with a boosted toon. What I found worked for me was to disable addons, reload UI, and then I was able to (re)pick up the quest in Oribos. I had gotten stuck I think it was after I had the portal open, but before the tour of Oribos. All I remember is disabling addons worked!

Make sure you have “TRIVIAL QUESTS” marked so you can see it. ALSO: if you don’t see a group around the alliance steps / in front of the war tent then you may need to do the BFA intro quest line until the achievements for them to show up. Two expansions can’t be seen in the same zone at the same time and technically since BFA was the “new player intro zone” it makes more sense for that to show up ahead of shadowlands. I’d suggest regardless of any toon you play to get BFA intro into zandalar and boralus OUT OF THE WAY so that everything else falls back to how it normally would be. Good luck!

have timerunner made regular …i zoned in to ogrimmar did regular Dalaran from warchief board…zoned back into ogrimmar and the quest to do oribis pop for my character as a summons…hope this helps ya
