Can't log into game

Tried several times, just hangs on connecting. When I close and reopen my desktop battle.net app. it takes long a time and when it does connect it doesn’t show friends, only add friends??

In addition to what is mentioned, b-net messages do not go through to who I send them to. Only 2 people on my friends list are in-game (or marked as such) when it’s usually like 10+ even at this hour, so I assume they are having similar issues, but I can’t ask directly since messages aren’t getting through.

EDIT: Probably b-net related since I can’t log in Hearthstone either.
