I’ve been trying to log in to bnet and TWW WOW this morning for a few hours to no success. I have a mac laptop and a windows desktop and experience the same behavior on both. when I try to log in to the bnet launcher I get:
BLZBNTBGS80000011
This enables me to get in in offline mode, but obviously the handshake from bnet launcher into Warcraft doesn’t work. When I try to log in to warcraft with username and password I get the aforementioned error.
my partner is logged in to bnet on her xbox and playing diablo 4 online and I don’t see any big posts in the forums or on the blizzard cs twitter so I’m unsure if it’s just me.

This is an odd behaviour for sure. Let’s rule a couple things out first. Have you restarted your machines? Do you run a VPN? Is the install path for Warcraft correct in the battle net app? Also are you running in admin mode? I would also like to know what happens when you enter your credentials in to Warcraft and log in to play.

Thank you for your kind and helpful reply, Mr. Druid. I’m logged back in on the desktop. I tried reinstalling Bnet which did not help but for some odd reason power cycling my router did the trick. My fiber connection is great so I haven’t had to do that in months, perhaps there was a memory leak or a full cache or something.

Lol ATM I am with out my Mac as my cats pushed it onto the floor damaging to cooling system and I fried the i7 that was in it. Though my new M4 Mac will be here in a couple weeks. I am very glad that some basic trouble shooting corrected the issue you were experiencing.
