Can't log in to Battlenet on computer OR Battlenet app on phone to authenticate

I turned on my computer and was immediately presented with a screen asking me to agree to new Terms & Conditions for Blizzard. I clicked continue but it opened an error website (something about my address not being used for legit purposes or something??? Made no sense. Didn’t screenshot.) It also opened up the login screen for Battle.net app (on desktop) which apparently i’d been logged out of even though I always stay logged in. I entered my password to log in but then it requested an authenticator code.

So I opened my phone and opened the NEW Battle.net app, the one that recently replaced the old authenticator app, but what came up was a screen saying “The old authenticator has moved to the new Battle.net app” (as if my phone thought the new app was the old app or something). And apparently, somehow the phone app was remotely logged out too, so I had to log back into it. But to do so it directed to the battle.net webpage. And when I entered my e’mail address & password (on my phone), it then requested an authenticator code!
I literally need an authenticator code in order to log into my authenticator, which is a Catch-22 (ergo not possible), which means it’s physically impossible for me to log into Battle.net on ANY device!!!

same bro.

anyone know whats going on?

I was able to log in fine but my husband is having the same exact issue. Was logged out of battlenet and instructed to download the authenticator. Now he can’t log in because its not working.

I thankfully have an authenticator (had it ever since the physical Core Hound one) so I was able to re-launch the battlenet client and log in after having the same ‘agree’ page and failed website launch.

Same thing just happened to me, but I got it to work. I hit the “Use Authenticator Security Code” under the area where it says to check your device for authenticator request.

Then on drop down I selected SMS and it text me a code and I was able to enter the 6 digit code they texted me and logged into both my phone and computer.

Might only work if your phone number is connected maybe, but worth a shot.

OMG that worked! Thank you, you’ve saved my account!

Well, for some reason it has the wrong phone number listed. Not sure why as I’ve had this account and same phone number for 17 years. Created a ticket and hope that does something; apparently this billion-dollar company doesn’t have an actual human customer service option anymore.

Thanks Goat. Had the same issue here, thanks to your comment, quick fix. Appreciate it

I love how everything in life is moving to the use of cell phones without one single thought to the persons with disabilities communities. Im legally deaf why on earth would I own a cell phone simply for a text message…

Have you considered running an Android emulator? I’ve never used one but it might be a feasible way to keep your bnet account secure. Web searches turn up at least a dozen possibilities.
