I’m in a mostly PvE guild, but 3-4 of us will Comp Stomp when it’s up. AND IT’S UP!
So 3 of us just tried to join … and we can’t. “Join as Group” is greyed out.
Did they change this? Or are we … I dunno, doing something wrong? We’re all Horde. It wasn’t a raid. We just tried to join, we’ve done it before… but can’t anymore. >(
Think it was due to them shifting the timing of Comp Stomp from back during the Anniversary event that overlapped Comp Stomp. Right now in game it’s giving quests for Solo Shuffle and advertising it even though it doesn’t exist and it might be bugging the button associated with Comp Stomp.
But like someone said earlier if you queue solo then have someone try to join your party you can do it with a group even if it’s a little screwy as a work around.
I don’t want to come off like I am trivializing the OP’s concern or issue that they are unable to group with a friend to do Comp Stomp. - If you could at one time group up and can no longer, I feel that is lame. I’m not for the reduction of options for people to “connect.”
I feel, for the most part, in most cases, denying people the ability to group up to play together is, well… I already said it. Lame. (Most part / Most cases. Not all.)
But I do kind of wonder how boring it could be to comp stomp at all, with or without a friend. but with a friend, I’d imagen it would be a lot like beating on a patch of 3 leaf clovers.
The issue as I mentioned in another thread is that guild groups are joining together and then not participating. They sit on a flag in groups of 3-5 with their guild standard and collected free honor. I’m fine with guild groups, but for the love of Groot, remove the ability to use standards in Comp Stomp.
Each kill is 14 honor. The guild banner is 10% eh?
So you’re getting 15 honor per kill instead of 14, is that right?
lulz
edit: You’re also not refuting that this is a BUG, not a feature. If you want to take advantage of a guild perk (if you can call it that)… this is probably the ONLY place to do it. Like I said, those banner rewards are removed for basically everything else.
Your point is understood, but the small amount is apparently not deterring people from doing this, and by your logic, removing the standard would be of no consequence. Sounds like we agree on this.
