Can't Install Classic

I’ve been trying to download WoW Classic for the last 2 days. I keep getting the loading wheel on the bottom right of the WoW Installation menu. The few times it went past that menu it asks me where to install and I’ve hit change and nothing happens… It just let’s me switch the location of the files. Nothing past that.

I’ve uninstalled and re downloaded Battle net client but had to move mountains to do so since it kept getting stuck on updating battle net agent…

Hi Allspark

This has the looks of security software getting involved. What Antivirus do you have installed there? Are you playing the retail version of the game?

We should take a look at a DXDiag report:

The second section of page has DXDiag report instructions - we don’t require the MSinfo report.

That will be a wall of text. If you have issues pasting on the Forum here go ahead and put it up on pastebin.com. Provide the link code portion of the URL - example below.

Thanks Tratt here’s the link code

Try uninstalling Razer Synapse then test.

I uninstalled Razer Synapse and it still won’t let me install classic WoW

What antivirus do you have installed?

I don’t have any 3rd party ones installed just the one that comes with Windows. I also disabled my firewall from my ISP and PC

Windows Defender doesn’t cause issues unless it is behind on updates. I see you are running the Redstone 5 version of Windows. The new version is 19H1 (1903). If we update Windows Defender then that will trigger the update to the new version of Windows. That will take some time - hour at least.

Type Update in the windows search box. Click on Check for Updates. The next screen that opens will be the update pane. It will likely say “You’re up to date”. Ignore that untruth then click the button below labeled - Check for Updates

Now be warned that will start updating everything. It will take some time. Once it is done continue to click the button until you truly have no updates.

Note - The 19H1 (1903) update is on a staggered release. It is possible it may not be available to your machine as yet. If that is the case we will download then install.

update is at top of page - May 2019 update

Tratt thank you so muchh!!! It looks like updating did the trick

thanks again!! <3

Did Windows update or just the Windows Defender.

Updating Windows Defender did the trick
I’m still updating Windows

You should be all up to date after that then. Nvidia recommends the 19H1 version of Windows for their new driver updates.
