Logged in just to see how everyone’s doing. Tons of people… more I see currently playing in retail. I won’t be playing TBC classic, but stings a bit and I hope everyone who does has fun. Why can’t we push retail to a place that it once was in?
Better question is why can’t I buy the retail tbc mount separately instead of being asked to pay $70 for it?
I’d say that’s quite incomparable. Retail is in its dead phase, everyone’s just waiting for 9.1, so people may drift off to other games until there’s stuff to do. Whereas BC is opening day with a ton of hype and excitement going in
your seeing tons of people because everyones boosting and there isint a whole different planet to go hang out on also not as many servers
most people hang around there main faction city like they do in BC/classic the difference being ther are so many retail servers that the population is pretty divided but at least on MG theres TONS of people in SW
Rp servers be like that. you see 49489494388485 people everywhere. No one else does in the same way cuz of sharding. On MG there’s bazillions of alliance. Same as WrA horde.
One of Classic’s reasons for existing is to keep people subscribed during retail content droughts. We are currently experiencing one of those droughts so everybody is bored and curious
Okay? The day Shadowlands released the servers were absolutely jam packed. Whats your point?
BC has less content than systemlands. But BC offers greater player agency. Player agency matters in a MMORPG. Systemlands can be great but the current devs prefer to put chains on the player base then allow player freedom.
Admittedly, SL isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but you’re comparing day 1 with day 190. (and yeah, the fact that it’s day 190 is a problem in itself, still…)
No one should be surprised. The new shiny thing has everyone’s attention. Give it 3 months. I wish it well but it will go the same way as classic
That it’s unfortunate Blizzard has to rely on TBC classic to help secure WoW’s future at this rate.
They don’t? Sub numbers drop low in every patch cycle since forever.
Content drought is not new, sub fluctuation is not new. This is same old “WoW is dying” stuff that gets regurgitated every single xpac lol.
I’m glad they’re continuing to do classic xpac because it gives people something to do before the next retail patch drops.
And to take a cue from the jailor himself, players were never meant to be chained.
Because bfa and sl are badly done and written expacs.
I personally think Shadowlands is a ton of fun, probably my third favorite expac behind Wrath and Legion.
