Hi,
im trying to get to the sand piles for the 246 gear in zerith.
i have done the achievement “a means to a end.”
Unlocked flying, but when i port up there is no option to fly to Dormant Alcove.
ive looked around for all the symbols on the rocks , but think i may have done it already.
Any help please.
You have to find the sigil that unlocks the path.
It’s on the “wall” or cliff where all those are for the quest. About half way down on the left side iirc. Been a while though.
Check it out on wowhead and they give coordinates for it.
There are a number of glowing glyphs on the rocks in that area. Each one you touch, or activate, opens another area of locus travel. You may simply not have “unlocked” that locus yet. Wowhead has information on where all the glowing sand glyphs are located.
You also need cosmic energy to travel. You’ll note that a gray bar appears when you are near one of the light-filled glowing areas that mobs seem attracted to. Stand in those and fight mobs to collect cosmic energy.
You are also going to need 7 Spatial Openers, gathered from chests and killing rares and elites in ZM, to open the sand piles.

Thanks for the replies, i have looked for the glyphs, for instance im standing where one should be atm, i also had 100 cosmic energy when i went to the cave.
I cant see any glyphs anywhere.
i have flying so can travel without energy?
i dont have all the spatial openers yet but some.
Would the glyphs be there with flying? or do i actually have to unlock them via locus travel?
You cannot get to the sand area simply by flying. It is underground. You need to travel via the locus points - and you need cosmic energy to be able to do that.
The glyphs are on rocks in that area that you can reach via flying. The thread I posted above has coords for those listed throughout the comments. Good luck!
yes i can go in the underground cave, with cosmic energy, i click on the first option on the pillar, i then get ported to the room, in the room where u click to get the fight path, i cant get a flight path.
Because… you have not yet opened that locus. You are missing a glyph somewhere.
The Wowhead reference above should help.

There it is.
They are in seven caves and you can buy from Olea too. Without the seven, nothing is happening. Do it early before you out-gear it, I think it is all 246 gear and super handy, rings and trinkets, when starting out in ZM.
