Can't get rid of the "Unread Ticket" notification

I did a gear restoration about a week ago, and when I try to click on the Support notification, it takes me to the support page to fill out a new ticket.

https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/case/detail/84786857

That’s the link it’s trying to take me to. Unfortunately, after a few seconds, I’m redirected to this link:

https://us.battle.net/support/en/help

Which is the support home page.

I can’t get rid of the “1” indicating I have an unread ticket.

I’m sorry to bump this, but I also have this and it’s driving me crazy.

Hey there Noree,

The quick and easy way to resolve this is by simply toggling your addons. This should clear any data that has not been cached properly by the WoW User Interface:

  • With WoW open, press Esc to open the Game Menu.
  • Click Addons.
  • Click the Disable All button and then Okay.
  • Allow the UI to reload.

If that fixes it, simply re-enable your addons. If that doesn’t fix it, try resetting your User Interface, and then test the login again.

Note: This process will return your game client to the default interface in order to rebuild core game files. If you wish to keep any addons you play with, I recommend moving the ‘Interface’ folder to your desktop temporarily (the Interface folder from Step 6). Once you have completed the UI reset, you can then go in and move your addons over to the new ‘Interface’ folder one at a time to see if it was causing the issue.

I hope that does the trick! Let us know if you have any questions going forward.

Thank you for your response, but it’s happening on the website, not in game. It doesn’t have anything to do with addons.

I click that, it takes me to the support page, and tells me the ticket is closed, but the “1” doesn’t go away.

This. I did try it in game to see if that was the problem, but it’s not. It’s the website specifically.

Have you tried clearing your browsers cookies and cache? Have you tried a different browser altogether?

Hey Perdd & Noree,

My apologies for my misunderstanding of the issue. We do have far less support options for an issue such as this, though my first suggestion would be to try clearing the notification in a different Internet browser (or clearing the cookies and cache of your current browser) as Jetsum mentioned.

If the issue persists, then I encourage reporting the issue on our Support Site Feedback forum. Submissions posted there have the benefit of allowing a community discussion around high-impact bugs, which can occasionally help in prioritizing them.
