I can’t accept the new crafting item story quest “Our Chance to Strike” from Webster NPC, because, according to Wowhead, I didn’t do the first chapter in War Within.
I’ve competed the Chapter story line 5/5, but I’m currently unable to complete the Isle of Dorn story quest because “The Archive” quest is not available.
My character, Tekko on Sargeras, was an alt and I chose the option to skip ahead in the Isle of Dorn story. Don’t know if that’s the issue, but it looks to be. I went back and try to complete the intro story line and now I’m stuck on “The Archive”. The NPCs for “The Archive” quest are already in the Archive, and not where they should be to accept the quest.
My main goal is to start the quest from Webster, so please help make “Our Chance to Strike” quest available.
P.S. - Posted this in customer support, because I need that instead of the terrible AI response I got about Loot???, but also posting here, because this is looking to be a bug for any ALT character that selected to skip the opening quests and start immediately in Dornogal.
I’m having the exact same issue here… i completed the campaign with my dk but my main characters is my hunter Pichotaa which who i skipped the campaign and completed the post campaign 5/5, i see webster but he does not offer any quests
I think the quests are considered warband, so if you have a character that completed it, then the rest should also be considered done.
If your character that doesn’t have the quest used the skip, then it would again be showing the issue is with the skip. Something in the skip removes the warband completion.
It wasnt. So the alt i was working on getting it, had to set up the embassy then ask all the people for support. after i turned that in, he showed up in Dorn. The alt that hasnt done anything yet, i checked, he did set up the embassy. so that worked for me and will do that portion for all the remainder alts
Nobody has the quest for me. I have tried Nizrek, Webster and the little guy in front of the raid and none have the quest. i have dont all five chapters.
It is our understanding that you are experiencing some confusion on how to unlock Story Mode for Nerub-ar Palace
Unlocking Story Mode requires you to complete a short quest chain in Azj-Kahet, which begins with the optional quest “Our Chance to Strike”. If you already visited Executor Nizrek and picked up “The Beginning of the End” and completed that one, you will not be able to take the optional lead-in quest “Our Chance to Strike” anymore.
You may also experience further confusion if your War Within story campaign is not progressed far enough on this character, as noted by several Wowhead comments in the “Our Chance to Strike” quest page on Wowhead https://www.wowhead.com/quest=83587/our-chance-to-strike#comments
Please complete all of the quests in the chain and you should be able to unlock Story Mode and fight Queen Ansurek on Story Mode difficulty in Nerub-ar Palace.
We would like to thank you for your understanding and wish you a good weekend ahead
This response from Blizz fixed my issue. Still confuse about how and when each piece of the quest line is acquired. To my recollection, I never did “Our Chance to Strike”, which is supposed to be the starting quest for the chain, but I somehow had Beginning of the End quest in my quest log.
So, I guess the short of it is, you may already be on the quest chain, just one further on, such as Beginning of the End.
Hey yall, so I was having the same problem. I could not find Webster in Dornogal even though it showed there a quest there. So I traveled to the Weavers Lair and found him there. Hope that helps!
I also could not find Webster or the quest where it was labeled on the map to be in Dornogal. I took the portal from Dornogal to Azj-Kahet and Webster was right next to the portal waiting with the quest to pick up.
