Can't get quest "Our Chance to Strike" from Webster

I can’t accept the new crafting item story quest “Our Chance to Strike” from Webster NPC, because, according to Wowhead, I didn’t do the first chapter in War Within.

I’ve competed the Chapter story line 5/5, but I’m currently unable to complete the Isle of Dorn story quest because “The Archive” quest is not available.

My character, Tekko on Sargeras, was an alt and I chose the option to skip ahead in the Isle of Dorn story. Don’t know if that’s the issue, but it looks to be. I went back and try to complete the intro story line and now I’m stuck on “The Archive”. The NPCs for “The Archive” quest are already in the Archive, and not where they should be to accept the quest.

My main goal is to start the quest from Webster, so please help make “Our Chance to Strike” quest available.

Are you tracking warband completed quests in game? Should be under the same area as low level tracking.

I wasn’t tracking warband completed, but I can turn it on if that’s what you’re suggesting? I think warband tracking just turns on all quests that have been done, correct? But you would also see any other quests still available as well? When I toggle warband completed option on and off it shows “The Archive” quest available for both options. And the message is still there “Continue the campaign by accepting the “The Archive” in Dornogal” at the top of the quest log.

My mage (first character to 80) has already done all of the intro main story line quests, so they’ve definitely been done on at least one of my characters. Think it has to be for your alts to be given the option to skip ahead?

Tracking Warband quest allows you to track quest that you have not completed on that character that you have already completed on your Warband.

FYI statement, this isn’t a ticket, im not an employee. Just upfront information.

I haven’t completed the campaign or started an alt on skip. I’m not sure what skipping entails.

I don’t know how many quests it skips, but skipping basically skips some of the intro quests your first character would do and starts you Dornogal. It would appear the new quest I’m trying get, “Our Chance to Strike”, is based off of completing this intro story line, so it looks like this quest isn’t taking into account characters that used the skip option.

My mage is able to accept the quest, which is the one that did the initial story line. I would put an image in to help make it clearer, but I’m only level 2 (soon to be level 1 again apparently).

Everything is pointing to a bug with character skips, which is why I also posted in the Bug forum channel. I posted here to though, hoping the GMs or whatever actual Blizzard employees check this would be able to force the quest.

EDIT: I do have an in game ticket open, but I initially got an AI response talking about “loot” and my ticket has nothing to do with loot. It’s still open, so will await that, but it’s good to have this here, so others with the issue might stumble across this.

Quest help can often be found in the same named subforum, as well as othere topics with gameplay. A moderator may chose to move it when they’re on duty later. Just fyi for future gameplay questions.

Don’t get gaslighted out of this bug report by someone who just admitted they aren’t even up to this quest.

Look at the comments under this post, lots of people can’t do this on their main and/or alts. It is broken.
