I first checked on my main which apparently did the 3 escort quests in vanilla (used a script to check). kinda recall getting a chicken you could use a few times that would fight with you back then.
I then checked on an alt that did 2 of 3 quests back then. I went to feralas to do the 3rd one. the beacon dropped, did the escort and got quest to turn in at booty bay. The NPC took the quest turn in but gave me nothing after that.
ideas?
Just checking, so questgiver Oglethorpe did let you compete An OOX of Your Own but didn’t give you the Chicken ?
Looking at Wowhead’s many comments on this quest, seems like there were various quirks that wouldn’t let you complete it but no mention of successful completion and no reward.
no i turned in the 3rd escort quest from feralas, but didnt receive anything further.
Update:
even though 2x 120 alts don’t show all the escort quests completed, when i ran another script to check completion of An OOX of Your Own quest that shows as completed ?!
i checked a level 72 alt that i haven’t hardly played since BC and was able to do it on that alt. this alt showed the hinterlands egg quest done but not the escort and nothing at all for the other 2 locations.
no idea why the quest discrepancy for the other higher level alts exists but i did finally get it.
