Started a new character and went to Broken Isles for nethershard, but the currency doesn’t show in “Legion” and I don’t get any when I kill mobs or rares. I can’t even transfer the currency because it is a “pull system” and nethershard doesn’t show up in my character’s currency tab to pull. Anyone else seen the problem? Is there a workaround?
If memory serves, nethershards were mostly from legion invasions, so if you go to the broken isles look for the invasions (usually in one zone at a time) and knock out the objectives there.

You might also need to have an item or quest related to the shards? I’m not sure but I had this problem when doing the class mount quest stuff
Did you unlock the WQ version of Broken shore?
I recall there being a mission table mission that rewards 4500 nethershards, and I see it semi-often on my character that still does Legion stuff.
Might already need to do a bit of Broken Shore to get it though, idk if it appears on its own.
Class order halls all have quests leading to Broken Shore, you need to complete those for the mounts.
There is a short quest to open this area up that you may need to do.
What’s the name of the quest?
Sorry it’s been way too long. Find Khadgar in Legion Dalaran and see what he has. Pretty much every patch starter quest went through him.
