After installed pre-patch, I can only hear the login screen music when lanuch the game and the WoW logo appears on the task bar meaning the game is running, but the game screen no shows up. What happen?
The mouse icon also change to ingame iron-glove icon.
My boyfriend is having the same problem. Do you guys know if there’s a way to block the Shadowlands startup cinematic?
It ran perfectly well on my computer but he’s always had trouble with cinematics so I’m guessing that’s the reason he can’t get into the game screen.
It doesn’t really start… Like the original poster said, when he hits PLAY the WoW icon appears on the task bar and the iron glove hand cursor appears but that’s it. ESC does nothing.
Well my game didn’t start at first either but no popups. I quit the game went in deleted my WTF folder and Cache made sure the game is up to date via Bnet launcher, But a workaround is maybe load the game up from the wow folder instad of Bnet client.
Thank you for all the helping. I tried delete WTF and Catch folders and launch the game, it recreated a new WTF and a new Catch folder right before the game launch, but the issue still there.
I’m listening to the music while looking up my wallpaper, feel good at least…
We tried everything but my boyfriend still can’t make the game screen come up.
I have other issues and when i log in I can’t see my characters. So much for all the excitement of pre patch day
Yeah I’m having this problem too, tried deleting WTF and Cache folders but that didn’t work. Trying the repair tool now which feels like it takes an eternity.
I don’t really understand what changes they made to the game could even be related to this happening…
Doesn’t work for me either, but I don’t even get the music or anything. Just says it’s running but it isn’t. Tried all suggestions in this thread, nothing worked.
