Can't gear because can't win, can't win because of no gear

Do you see what’s happening here? You need honor to buy gear and you need gear to win, and you get more honor if you win. So if you had EA and you pvp you’re ahead of the curve and can win more easily. How does this make any sense?

Well, it’s a team oriented game, so you’re not solo winning or losing. You need a decent/good team playing objectives to win.

Precisely why I focused on dungeon leveling and comp stomp early on. I feel for the non-EA but at the same time it’s not like it takes more than a day to gear.

Cant you farm honor on your main now?

But yeah if you get behind in gearing in this game…especially after conquest comes out its going to be a slog… a massive one to catch up to everyone else.

Usually they add catch up later on though to help with it.

By 4,000 Honor.

I’ve been able to gear 3 alts and buy multiple recipes. That’s, like, 50,000 Honor.

Buy a couple of Vicious Flask of Wrecking Ball and just queue up, it doesn’t take too much to get a full set on your main, then you can farm from it for alts.

Also, buy your trinkets first, before all other gear.

They have a set bonus which increases your Stamina and Main stat.

I don’t know about later, but it’s a bit strange how currently it’s pretty easy to get all your honour gear on multiple toons. You could even craft some stuff if you wanted to do that.

Try to not let it get you down and just enjoy as much as you can.

You could transfer to multiple toons tho. But yeah, earning your honor set for one toon isn’t that hard.

Yeah, but there’s a 20% tax on each transfer. Couldn’t be bothered, was mostly doing PvE during EA anyway.

It’s much easier to do Epic BGs when you are under geared. You can focus on objectives and hop in turrets / vehicles and your gear doesn’t matter! Good luck in your grind

Normally it wouldn’t matter because it would happen to people on both sides. The reason why gearing is so hard is because bg’s right now is full of premades. I wish blizz gave us unrated blitz for the first few weeks to avoid this. Right now everyone coming back or trying WoW for the first time are getting filtered from PvP due to rampant premades

It’s not hard to gear. Just requires a little patience and time. Purchase the crafted pvp gear, farm honor gear, then conquest gear.

Not difficult and I’m casual nub.

PvP greens scale to 626
PvP Blues scale to less (huh)
Current PvE sweat average is 580-590s
Current PvE casual average is 540-580
Mythic Raid gear is 629 for perspective.

You just can’t compete with a deficit that big.
And the only way to engage in the system is bad game design where you get dumpstered for a few hours.

Thats why most people just run Epic BG’s which have turned into PvE races for the most bank for your buck.
But none of it is fun or healthy game design after a while

The bosses and stuff were tuned from the start to be way too hard which promoted PvP in those big PvP zones, but then the community complained and they got nerfed to the point I can pull the boss with two bunkers still up in AV no problem at 560 average iLevel in mostly PvE gear.

Its so neglected as a feature of the game but here we are.

Do you mean War Mode gear? There isn’t any blue PvP gear.

I believe so? Only picked up one piece since warmode was kind of dead on my server and all I read was the low Ilevel scaling so I vendored it.

War Mode gear is kind of welfare gear, it isn’t meant to replace PvP gear.

Which is why it scales to slightly lower than proper PvP gear.

Try to join with premades or guildies, they make it ALOT easier to gear up if you really care.

I can play around these systems and dominate.
But this game isn’t just about me, a long time player.

Its about the new players, casual enjoyers, and less skilled players alike.
Those looking to learn. Whether its a new spec, new class, or the whole game.

The gear gap combined the sheer quantity of types of ccs does not give you any opportunity to learn if you cannot use your character.

As much as I get a rush for beating the crap out of low geared players.
I believe in doing it with honor.
And the current system is not that.

Just to correct TWW leveling Gear scales to 600ilvl in bg instance. It’s something and I would suggest you play epic bg for gearing. It is faster honor.

It’s not hard at all. If you do just enough to get your weapons and trinkets as you level, you will be able to contribute when you hit 80.

Even if you can’t as you level, do epic bgs take the wins and losses as they come because whether you’re geared or not, you’re probably not gonna be affecting the outcome that much.

It legitimately shouldn’t take more than 4 hours of gameplay to get an entire honor set, which is about 11000 and change honor.

It is awful though. You can’t do anything because the discrepancy between whatever item level you gear gets upscaled to and the PVP item level is too big.

I’m queuing into arena skirmishes to get the weekly done and get put into a game where each enemy has at least +6000k health. I have 4700k. This is not how you win over new players.
