Can't finish 'Hearthstone Card Collection' achievement - SOLVED

Dr. Boom refuses to drop my last stolen hearthstone card required for this achievement. I’m missing Forbidden Words although I doubt that matters. Anyone else having a similar issue? My mailbox is empty & there’s nothing in my bank. I have 10+ concurrent Dr. Boom kills that have only dropped a green wild card as I have all other rewards.

FIX: If you’ve been having similar issues with Dr Boom not dropping a blue card for you CHECK YOUR ALTS. This achievement is account wide! I found the last remaining card on an alt I had forgotten I killed the boss with.

Biy 10 wildcards from the shady dealer and keep them. The game will give you a stolen hs card instead of a wildcard. He’s on the bridge next to the platform in val.

The wild cards are a separate loot drop from the stolen cards. So having 10 of them won’t have any impact on other things dropping.

If you have 10 wild cards in your bags, as a general rule from what I have experienced myself and other people have confirmed as well, you won’t get any drops at all. Seems having the wild cards causes a glitch. What I did was delete every wild card I got, making sure I didn’t have any in my bags and I got a drop from every kill I made. The last 5 stolen cards I needed would drop every other kill. I had everything else, I just needed the cards.

I’ve tried that as well, and I’ve gotten nothing but wild cards the last 6 kills. Makes me wonder if there’s some limit on the number of times you can get actual loot each day.

Remember when people kept saying Blizzard doesn’t respect their players’ time? This is another example. I’ve killed Boom probably 30 times at this point and still six cards from completing this achievement. It’s not even a lack of respect anymore. It’s straight up disrespect.

I went to the stormwind location and it has been a 180 degree flip on drops for me.

it’s fine to have 10 wild cards in your bags.
You’ll still get drops.

If you get no drops, that means your reward was going to be another wild card, but you have your limit of 10 already so you get “nothing”.

You can delete them if you want, or keep them, nothing about them changes your chances of getting the other drops.

I still do them even though I got all the drops because I like the socialization happening at the events.

If I get something good I’ll give it away for free, so don’t run off so fast. it might take me me a few seconds to type in chat what I have to give.

Same for me… maybe 5 or 6 kills to get the last card.

Did you at any point trade a drop to someone else?

There is a fairly substantial bug report regarding that here:

If trading wasn’t involved, then it sounds like just a case of bad RNG. I went 8 kills without receiving a stolen card drop on Monday night.

ALSO. Look through your inventory on any characters you’ve done the event on. The last blue card may be hanging out in your bags. If you’ve already gotten all the cards for the event, even an unopened one, I’ve heard that the blue cards will stop dropping for you.

One thing i learned the hard way is the event will not give you a card you have on any other character. I too went through a number of rounds not getting any of the last 2 cards I needed. I decided to search my inventories (Altoholic addon) and found those 2 cards I hadn’t added on another toon.

If you do the event on multiple toons, absolutely check all their bags.

Not sure if this worked or was coincidence, but I have to jump to an alt to get him to cough up the last card.

Nope, I completed my collection day one.

This fixed it for me THANK YOU! My last card was on an alt I logged in to kill the boss once with :joy:
