Hoping you guys can help me figure this out. I just renewed after a long break, and I decided that I’d like to work my way through some of the Legion content I never finished prior to the start of Shadowlands.
I have a vague recollection of starting the Balance of Power quest line on this character, but I have since had my quest log cleared and I can’t seem to find any of the quests that are part of the chain.
tldr: I have no idea how far along I am in the Balance of Power chain, is there any way to check this? I’ve been visiting places I think I’d be able to pick up quests with no luck.
That quest existed in Legion. It gave you a cool skin for your artifact weapon. Check in Suramar. It might still be there, if its not in your quest log.
I checked Wowhead, and it appears others are still doing the questline as late as a few months ago. Hopefully you find it again.
Have you done a Mythic dungeon? Eye of Azshara?
There’s a quest that shows up under the “Artifact” heading in your quest log.
But I don’t know if there’s a way in game to do it. It starts with this quest:
And Wowhead lists all the steps here, but aside from that? I don’t know. You may have to just do the whole “visit each step individually” thing.

Thank you guys for the responses. I ended up going through the painstaking process of checking each step and dungeon individually. It took several hours, but I caught up to where I left off (which was pretty far along in the process!) I had actually already done all the Emerald Nightmare raid stuff! Apparently I left off in Meredil, and I’ve since got everything done except for collecting the nightshards! I need ten more, which hopefully I’ll get this coming Tuesday after the weekly reset and I’ll have the Balance of Power artifact appearance for Thas’dorah!!! I’m so excited! Working my way through Glory of the Legion Hero in the mean time.
