I have the associate professor title and was interested in getting the Professor title but after searching everywhere i have come to realize that it has been removed. Am i just blind or was this actually removed? if so thats so dumb
20 rares is tough to get but you can get 13 of them just doing quests in Legion. Check the Legion Archeology guide on wowhead.

I was saying i couldnt even find the achievement that gave the title. is it even still an obtainable title
Actually, looking at your armory page and the achievements, you are not eligible for the Professor title yet. You are still working on Associate Professor title. You just earned the Assistant Professor title. You will not see the achievement for the Professor title until you have earned the achievement for the Associate Professor title.
The titles work as such:
I Had It in My Hand
Find a rare artifact.
You shall be granted the title “Assistant Professor”
What was Briefly Yours is Now Mine
Find 10 rare artifacts.
You shall be granted the title “Associate Professor”
It Belongs in a Museum!
Find 20 rare artifacts.
You shall be granted the title “Professor”
