I hope this is an ok place to post this. Need help recrafting my Algari Competitor’s Cloth Shoulderpads. Been asking in Trade, General and Yell for two days now. Feel like i’m going insane lol.
Do you have anyone on your friends list, even one on another realm, that can do it? Guild orders can be done cross realm. If you can be invited to your friend’s guild you could get the order done that way.
Recrafts can have issues when the previous craft wasn’t done properly. I can understand why crafters wouldn’t want to chance it. But a “please help” message in trade is something that will usually prompt me to respond.
Last, if none of this helps, consider asking on Tuesday and Saturday. These are days when lots of people ask for crafts so more crafters will be out and about trying to make some extra gold.
I’ve asked friends and had no luck. I didn’t think about joining a guild though! I can maybe find a big one that has a crafter!
This is a recipe that can be bought on the AH or with PvP currency. I’m sure a lot more people would be able to craft it if you supplied them with the recipe.
The reason it’s hard for you to find a crafter is that most crafters don’t PvP and don’t want to buy the recipe for a single craft.
why would anyone spend a ton of gold in a profession that doesnt make any gold just to craft you an item for 1k tip gold??? just wondering.
This character can craft all those cloth pvp patterns on sargeras. i think cross realm guilds can use in guild crafters now? if you can’t find anyone to do it by tomorrow (monday) i can try inviting you to my guild for the cross-realm craft.
I’ve made a ton of gold with tailoring. Barely cost me anything to level. Have two of them actually.
I didn’t bother with most requests in trade chat though. But I’ll stop and do one once in awhile to help ppl…I don’t mind a 1k tip if all R3 mats are provided. It’s not really how I make gold in the first place so I don’t care. I can make this recipe but I cannot invite to guild because my guild is not accepting new players at the moment.
Thank you for the offer! I was able to get it recrafted though!
Yikes, I’ve been paying way too much for these
a 1k tip isnt much to ask, if concentration is required it should be at least 5k imo. concentration is a very limiting resource and realistically you are compensating the crafter for only being able to use concentration once a day or so for r5 high skill crafting.
that said, all these pvp recipe are 10k or more usually, and that combined with the gold sink to level up is a big undertaking.
people think all you do is press a button, but have no idea how much work and gold it takes to press that button for you. pay properly for the service, good crafters work hard to be able to serve you.
my 2 c…
I mean for me it doesn’t matter because I don’t really try to make gold that way. I usually only respond if they’ve asked more than once in trade (i.e. I’m not taking away gold from somebody that does use this as their way of making gold).
It makes me feel really awkward when people tip me like 10k… I’m like…that’s too much! And them I’m like… should I give it back? Would that be rude? I even had someone tip me 20k early on and I’m just…why? Someone said to me that they only had 2k gold and “would that be enough”… and I was like… you don’t need to tip all the gold you have! >.> I wish people would just ask “how much do you feel is a fair tip” so I don’t feel so …slimy… afterwards!
In the case of concentration though, I’d tell you ahead of time how much I would charge. In that case, it’s not really a “tip” it’s a charge. If you don’t give it, I’m not doing it. If you’re taking out my profession for three days, you need to compensate me for that downtime. So yes, 5k would be more reasonable in that case.
