Can't even re-roll - all servers were full last night

All servers were full last night. 2 night in a row of no playing.

I’m already in a 3000 queue today.

glad i used gold from my old retail account to buy time.

Dont confuse the “just reroll” crowd with facts. It hurts their heads.

How are you not playing? Move off of a full server. Even if they were all full, the longest queue I’ve had since launch is 45 minutes.

Edit: This is peak time, after work, not middle of the night or morning.

Reroll still stands.

Rerolling isn’t to not wait at all but to lessen it.

I’d rather wait 2 hours instead of 8

All servers full? My wife and I logged on to a server with our reserved names @ 7:00PM PST and had a 5000 queue each. Flipped to a different server (Even got the same names) and didn’t have to wait in queue at all.

Have you tried a different server? There are other servers for you to use so you’re not waiting quite so long. It’s why Blizzard added more servers, to alleviate the load on the Full ones by having players move to those.

Once things settle, you could always go back to the original server if you feel it’s necessary.

As to ‘confusing players recommending reroll’

The queues on the original servers is on Blizzard. In response, they set up more servers for players to go to so they can play sooner. Those waiting on the Full servers and not trying the other ones…That wait is on that player, not Blizzard.

My server had 0 queue all prime time

Of course when people reroll onto the low populated servers, that also bumps up the more pleasant queues on those servers. I voluntarily left my friends on Stalagg to go to Kromcrush so I could actually play. Sounds like my server is reaching 3 hour queues at times now though it started with no queue. There’s not enough servers at this time for everyone who wants to play to be able to play at the same time. My vanilla launch experience was absolutely nothing like this, so this is a new experience all together.

There are are ton of new servers now, like 6 from last night?, so people have no excuse. I think Blizzard is finally releasing enough where everyone can play and be on healthy populations. It’s just getting the people to move.

The hard thing about the “people in the queue, that’s on them” problem, is people like myself coordinated with 10 other people to play on a specific realm. From there, those 10 people told a couple of friends to also roll there. We also chose our server to join a specific guild. And further more that guild chose the server in consultation with other guilds that also chose that server.
If you have a small amount of friends and no specific guild, re roll is an option. But if you’ve come back to be part of a specific community, you just have to wait out the queues.
A deaf, dumb and blind kid could hear the alarm bells ringing even before the name reservations started, could then yell at blizzard to make more servers and then see that they still severely underestimated the popularity of a 15 year old game.

True, which is why I stated you could always return to the orginal server you wanted once the rush calms down and things stabilize. If you’re friends are indeed friends, they’ll help you out with quests and gathering if you arrive a few days late to the party.

But you can still play an alt on another server so you can enjoy the game. Blizzard isn’t making you sit in queue for that specific server. The huge rush of players to a particular server that refuse to spread out is causing congestion. A server can only handle so many players after all.

if a server can only handle X number of players, is it Blizzard’s fault that X + Y (where Y is the number of players beyond the server capacity of X) number of players is refusing to move to newly set up servers in order to play?

Except they are not facts. The server I am on was never full last night. had we had 0 queue. And it is not a low pop.

I logged in last night at 9pm server. I waited 15 min in a queue. I played about 15 min, and logged out to do adult stuff. I came back at midnight server time and logged directly in with no queue.

I understand some people are having issues with queues, but in the first two days I have not experienced significant waits to play.

It’s sure been busy in game, and mob tagging is pretty aggressive, but that’s regular competition.

Hang in there, launches, especially for popular games, are gonna be a little wobbly at first. It’ll settle down in time. The end result of full realms after a year is worth a little overcrowding now.

What if your guild and/or friends don’t reroll? Plus, I think it’s been proven already that rerolling just means the same wait on a different server. That’s not a solution.

So what would be a solution that is feasible? A server can only handle X number of players and remain stable.

What can you think of besides having players shuffle to the new servers set up that still have space?

Eh, even if there was a magic server with no queues. I’d prefer people not play at all then create alts on another server if their intention is to go back to the other server. Because you could make new friends on the new server and feel bad for ghosting them. You also inflate servers that people legitimately want to play main characters on. You may just fall in love with that character.

My friend got slammed by a queue, but he waited it out and then i could help him by making bags and cloth gear … It’s not much, but it’s something.
