Well of course you need a horde alt to get the horde ARs. Just like you need a horde character to interact with horde npcs and visit horde capital cities.

OK rewind 15 years to vanilla wow. Even then you’d need a horde and alliance character to experience both halves of the story. How is this any different?
It is now literally mandatory now to unlock simple/other things you should be able to unlock on a main, 15 years ago it was only a story situation or if you wanted to play shaman. One could rewd the story differences by reading it online, we are literally unable to access the new customization options weve been asking blizz for for years unless we go do this excessive timegate/grinding now.

I’m getting everything. Your opinion is that modern rewards should be automatically available regardless of faction. Some stuff is like that (neutral reps shared across factions) and some stuff isn’t. My opinion is that it’s OK for some stuff to be “locked” behind the faction gate, just as it has always been in this game. With all the quality of life improvements to the game (ahem hierlooms) and Shadowlands upcoming leveling revamp, it’s easier than ever to level another toon

This is totally not true since you just have to do the instanced quest to enable the elevator to enable 8.3 world bosses (takes about 15 mins per character)

What about the others? Still need the other faction alt, or to transfer the main.
But thanks for answering a question I had in my mind: can I do the mech gnomes ( only alliance ar left to get ) if I faction swap my alliance main to horde? So your response was somewhat still useful.
