That’s terrible design you have to spend 2-3 hours just to get an alt to the place to kill the new world boss. The skips are horrible and trivial.

If it’s taking you 2-3 hours to get to the world boss you’re either doing it wrong or you are bad or both.

Since you can skip some of the instances, it isn’t that bad. And you don’t have to go all the way to the end before the world boss shows.
I wish they hadn’t done it this way, but since the loot table from world bosses is pretty small, you’ll cap out fast even if you don’t get your alts there in the first week or two.
You don’t have to do the whole chain. After you do the dungeon bit in uldum and talk to the leader of the cat centuar guys the world bosses and uldums daillies and invasions open up. If you want to get the visions, the cloak, and the other stuff unlocked then you have to do the whole chain. Which is still bad design.
But getting the world boss opened only takes about an hr depending on class and your gear level.

The world boss is up on my alts that have just unlocked the assaults… Sounds like you should try it before complaining

you just have to watch the cinematic (or skip) then go talk to Woons, then meet him out at Uldum. That’s IT. And you can skip the Uldum stuff on alts (edit: meaning the chunk of the story that is in the instance. be sure to follow up with Woons and choose the skip option)
You don’t even have to fly back to the main city there and turn in the followup. its actually super easy. 
Why? So you can jump on an alt to harass in-game?

2-3 hours? You can get the cloak in 30min or less on your second go. You skip all of the scenarios but like two… Maybe three… Lol
It baffles me how so many people have these alts that they want to have the same stuff as their main, and then complain that it takes too long. JFC just play your main. if you want your alt to have everything, it will take some time. Less time granted, but some time.

I’ve done it on all of my alts and all I have ever had to do was do the cinematic quest then talk to magni where MOTHER has you click the 4 boxes. Then I flew straight to boss and boom, barely took 5 minutes.

You literally NEED an alt of the opposite faction now and to grind it up just to u lock simple cosmetic crap like allied races.
You cant just play your main anymore with how blizz designs this mess. Youll miss half the story, things wont make sense, you miss out of cosmetic things that should be unlockable on the mains, etc

The first time I did the quest line, it took me about three hours on my main. By the time I did it on my third 120, it was about 90 minutes. With the two skips and better knowledge of what to do, things were much faster. In the end it is well worth it on your alts. You are getting a cloak that you won’t replace for the next 6+ months. Plus easy access to 420 - 440 gear a couple times a week. With just doing the 3 invasions and the lesser visions, you will be able to do 3 horrifc visions a week. Given you can only upgrade your cloak one level each week after the first, you shouldn’t have that much trouble staying current.

You just need to unlock the zone where the World Boss happens to be not the whole chain. As long as the zone is in the 8.3 phase the Boss will be available.
I did it last week on half a dozen alts and it took around 45 min with the 2 skips. It will be even faster this week since the Boss will be in Uldum.
What need is there for an alt of the opposite faction?
Allied races/rep locks cant all be one on one faction or literally the other half of the story, lots of guilds on my alliance alts are swapping to horde characters/mains now…just to name a few things.
Like I said. You basically need em even if you only want simple cosmetic upgrades or a good chunk of character creation features.
I see what you are doing and you really dont need to defend a terrible system just cause you personally dont care for them or see a need to have them at least unlocked ‘before’., so you dont get stuck grinding rep for 2 months when you actually want to or go to make a toon of x race.
Anyways im sure youre just trolling me cause bad system is obviously bad.
