Can't download WoW

Good day,

I am having issues downloading WoW and was advised by Blizz support to try here.

It started around January 14 when I had difficulties updating WoW. I was getting an error message saying ‘we’re having a problem transferring data’. It provided a link for this troubleshooting article: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/28436.

I followed the steps in the article to no avail. Eventually, I uninstalled both wow and battle.net and reinstalled them. While I was able to reinstall battle.net, I am not able to install wow. When I click install, it just opens the window where you choose the install location and options, only it’s blank and only has the Battle.net log in a corner spinning around.

Any advice on this issue would be most appreciated.

Had the same issue and I’m now able to get it to work. Saw a reddit post to use VPN. I tried to access bnet using VPN and got a prompt to restart and update. after restarting, I can now install WoW and other Blizzard games. Weird glitch. I never had to use VPN before to play any blizzard game.

Any VPN you would recommend? Ideally one that is free.

Also, what location did you choose?
