Probably something simple but can’t figure it out. Sent a ticket but been a day and no response. I have an active subscription. I’ve tried to download the update for Wrath of the Lich King Classic but the only way I can do it is to purchase it. There is a banner that says it is free to subscribers. Any help please?
It shouldn’t need any purchase whatsoever.
All of Classic has been available through the base sunscription price. You must be missing something.

Ya your missing something. From your battlenet launcher, you should just be able to select wotlk instead of retail to download or play wotlk

You can have a Blizzard account in general for free.
To play WOW, you need to pay / sub.
The sub allows you to play retail and wrath.
Can you play retail? or is it asking for a sub also?
Give the update time. Mine was taking a while to update for some reason. I was concerned at first that I was having some kind of technical issue, but it finally updated. It sat on “initializing” for quite a few minutes.
You don’t need to purchase anything to play Wrath Classic, except to be subscribed. You said you do have an active subscription, so you’re fine. Give the update time and wait for support to get back to you. I would try the technical support forums here also. Might be someone to help you sooner.
Make sure you have the right area selected (NA, Asia, etc) and if you use multiply accounts, make sure you have the correct one chosen on the Launcher.
