When I try to download WoW it’ll go through all the initializing but when it goes to download it stays at 0 B/s til the download pauses. Any other game like CoD just hangs with the spinning Blizzard logo after I click start install. I’ve been going through steps to fix nothing is working. Blizzard support pretty much said “Oh well, sorry for the inconvenience” and closed the ticket. Any help with be much appreciated.
having this same issue, the only way i’ve been able to play is opening the retail wow folder and clicking the wow application but no access to addons this way
As a player to player support forum, we would need more information. Not knowing what you have already tried, it’s hard to diagnose, but I’d have to start over.
What are you using for security software if any. What OS, is it updated. What are the launcher settings as far as updates. At worse, you can reinstall just the launcher while leaving the installed games alone.
Hopefully if you go back to the information provided, you can diagnose this.
Wait I am literally having the same issue. I had an update and it wouldnt go it was stuck in initializing or 0bts/sec. I uninstalled and am still getting this issue while trying to reinstall…
I restarted my client, reinstalled battle.net, restarted my modem, i flushed my dns, run battlenet as admin, and reset my firewall defaults so I know that battlenet is enabled for my firewall, none of it works!! support was useless and directed me here. The weird thing is ITS JUST RETAIL WOW. I installed classic and heroes as a test no problems.
Same issue. Just retail WoW. Everything else works fine. Won’t initialize. No fix works.
Ok, I’m back. After some false starts, the WMI trick worked for me.
- Open your Command prompt (Run as Admin)
- Type: net stop winmgmt
- Type: Y
- Type: /resetrepository
- Type: net start winmgmt
- Restart your computer.
Good Luck.
I tried to to do this but when I typed /resetrepository it said it is not recognized as a internal or external command. i did everything else and it didn’t work.
