according to rank permissions, officers can delete messages in guild chat. but as gm i cant? not even my own messages? when i right click on messages the only options i have are target player, invite, or copy name.
am i missing something, or is this something that was never actually implemented, despite numerous posts i have found over several years and officer rank supposedly including the functionality?

Me either.
I know you could delete/edit the âGuild message of the dayâ but not individual postsâŚ
But then again, its not something Ive ever tried to do
if you look at rank permissions, you can see it says that officers can delete messages. but again, that option in the dropdown doesnt appear for me

Itâs been available ever since guilds were converted to use the communities framework.
I just tested this and I cannot delete messages regardless if I use a GM toon or only an officer toon. This is probably worth moving your thread over to the Bug Report forum, as there was no patch note indicating the ability to delete messages in guilds or communities was removed.

Why would you need to delete gchat messages in the first place?

because i accidentally spammed guild chat while learning how to share dps from details!
my guild is my alts and two friends. not exactly an âorganizationâ with a media to manipulate

I have been able to delete comments in guild chat until recently. I just tested this with my guild master character and an officer alt. Both should be able to delete something in guild chat but at the moment a right-click does nothing at all. I suggest taking this post to the Bug Report forum and I will add a comment there.
