Can't decide

Rogue, DK, Mage, Hunter …which to main for Shadowlands. What did you all decide on maining and why.

The answer is always Hunter. Why? Because it’s my favorite class.

Before I can answer, what type of content are you going to focus on?

hunters have pets to collect and you cant go wrong with that

I’m really more of a solo kinda person.

Hunter or DK will do you well.

So like just farming mogs and mounts and that kind of thing? No raiding?

Easily hunter.

Yeah hunter is amazing, and I love the way my fem dwarf uses her bow. But hunters have little to no lore. I’m pretty good at soloing stuff on all of them, my rogue is slower killing stuff but it’s still doable.

I took the “best” convenants and their respective appearances into account.

I could be warlock, druid, hunter, DH, or warrior. “Actually any class but those were my finalists.”

Right now i heavily favor hunter as i can be necrolord, have a powerful convenant ability, and have an active playstyle as Marksmen.

Warlocks best ability is lackluster, basically a stronger shadow bolt/deathbolt. Though i do like some of the affliction changes. Warriors abilities are pretty boring and i don’t like the legendary item effects. Too proc based. DH is currently my second place runner, but i TYPICALLY don’t main melee since i raid lead and being in the bosses crotch makes it really hard to see people failing mechanics. Druids in last place because the most appropriate convenants are trash abilities atm. A vampire/necro druid doesn’t work for me.

Hunter if you like to solo or Blood DK.

You seem to be in a very similar position to me, in fact we have almost the same classes on our list. Looks like you have 1 of each armor type on your list, and that’s pretty much how I’ve been narrowing down my choices too. I’ll probably still pick just 1 or 2 (a melee + ranged) to be my “main” mains, and then just will try to focus on playing only within those 4 classes.

Wish I could narrow it down more myself, but that’s just the troubles of being an admitted altoholic. It’s just that I like having access to different things like: a ranged/caster, a DW melee, a 2h melee, a hybrid healer, etc… If they could make Survival hunter feel like a REAL mainable spec then that would help me possibly cover multiple bases with a hunter pick lol. At least with more characters to play we’re less affected by nerfs, etc.

Yeah personally, I’d never main a hunter lol. If you don’t play that then I’d go DK

Monk. Because monk :fist_right:

Theres a reason monks were typically nonviolent. No matter how skilled you are, fist loses to ranged attacks like Bows.

Cool people play Mages

I love my Mage, there is something very cool about them for sure!

I choose druid everytime, for some unknown reason.

I personally am debating between DK, Druid DH, Hunter, Warlock, and rogue. in that order. DK and Druid are neck and neck right now. I think i’ve almost completely ruled out the others as mains. I’ll still level them, to be sure, but usually it comes down to the DK and druid, if there’s a choice at all. honestly, I’ve never to this day, changed mains. I came close in cata to rage quitting my DK because they took away my blood DPS (still salty and bitter about it). I tried unholy, wasn’t a fan. i felt like i was on my lock (who at that point i’d long abandoned) with the pet. and i had no patience for hunting down two one handers to use. for a while i was gearing up my druid as feral/tank. then i decided to try tanking on my DK, and it stuck for the rest of the xpac.

I thinki might be at the same point again. honestly, i’ll probably stick with the DK, but the versatility of the druid is tempting. they can literallly do it all. and thats enticing.

Warlock. The same thing I’ve mained since TBC.

Ive really stuck with my DK mostly since I made her a long time ago, but I leveled the others and they’re fun too. I always play frost, never changed.
