Can't decide between warrior and paladin

Hello

I just came back do dragonflight and im having a hard time to decide a main!

I can’t make up my mind between a warrior and paladin

I plan to do WQs, PvP, arena, mythic maybe some raids (all solo)

I really love the thematic of the paladin but at the same time smashing things with a sword is just beyond satisficing xD

What would be your pros and cons

Paladin, obviously. Its the new BM, ez clap damage. Both in PVE and PVP. :o:

Paladin has more utility if you’re grouping. Greater healing, rez and cures. Warriors are fun though! Make both, you might agree. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yea i’m really tempted to go paladin but each time i see a warrior jumping around smashing things i feel like this is my class

im so confused

Try both. Whichever one stands out for you becomes your main.

I went warr after getting tired of the whole… holy this, sanctified that, blessed whosever. Just wasn’t feeling the theme. I enjoy the mobility of warrior, and fury felt better than ret.

That being said… Ret feels damn nice after the rework. If you have any inclination of healing… obvi go pally. But both are strong choices. Go with what feels and vibes better.

Oh, and look at which race you want to play too. Like… if you absolutely wanted to play a vulpera, they sadly can’t be paladin (yet, I hope) - so obvi choice is warr.

Warriors can yell at people so hard they die. Warrior is my choice

Arms War is slightly better in PvP, I think they’re about tied in PvE.
Play whichever one feels better.

Should be neat that Tyr’s Hammer will be available soon.

Even an attire of the Infinite Dragonflight seems to be coming.

Choose the golden child class.

Paladin is always the answer. Always.

I agree that warrior LOOKS really cool…And honestly it isn’t the worst at anything.

It’s just that the paladin is really great. The redesign was fantastic and whoever worked on that should continue to work on other classes as well. They clearly “get it.”

So my answer is yeah, warrior is pretty good, but paladin is essentially better in every way.

they do feel better indeed

yea i think paladin will be it

I got boths classes and like Paladin better. Rets are doing great and if you learn the trades of the tank they are also very good. At this moment of writing, from the 6 top m+ tanks in Raiders io, 4 are pallies and 2 are monks.

I really want to endorse warriors, because mine is so fun. But honestly, so is paladin. I actually like all three paladin specs. Mine is kind of under geared but still a little beast.

Both pretty much offer the same thing in terms of being strong in PvP, dungeons and raid. The biggest difference is that Paladins can help their team more with healing and other utility while warriors are powerful and benefit themselves.

Pally is more team based healer/support/dmg or tank hybrid. Warrior is more fast paced and personal based + has tons of mobility with leaps and charges.

To add on to Dag… that was the biggest change when I swapped to warr, I lost all the ‘fix it’ buttons for party members. Such as…

BoP a dps/heal who pulled threat, toss a heal to dps that stood in fire, all the the kicks because dps don’t have one on their task bars. It was very team focused.

On the other hand, warr is great at handling their own business. Taking all the hits, herding all the mobs up, add in some aoe stuns and dps, and healer shouldn’t have to worry about your health. Leaves a lot of mental focus to keep an eye on pats/mechanics and such. Oh, and you don’t need to stand in consecration, so moving and repositioning is a no factor.

I can’t speak for PvP or Arena, but if you’re going to do raids solo then Warriors are best for collecting transmogs as they can use any weapon save for wand and (bafflingly) glaives.

Warrior. I’m totally not biased… Obligatory /s.
