This error seems to happen on all my characters no matter what. It seems to lag/hangup/delay my login screen as well. Ive added outbound and inbound Firewall rules and tested both to allow and block the WoWVoiceProxy.exe and still no fixing it. Also Going into Option > Accessibility > Text to Speech > Resetting to Default … Doesn’t reset settings on all characters and is a blank tab with no options or I have to check and unchceck Speak for me in Voice chat box to remove the Voice Tab from my chat box.

Can we just agree noone in WoW uses the ingame Voice chat when we have programs like Discord. Can we get either a way to fully disable this feature or just remove it from the game. It seems to be causing more problems then it solves.

If anyone has a fix for this please let me know. Its driving me bonkers. ty

is WowVoiceProxy.exe in C; drive (wereYouHaveTheGameInstalled) World of Warcraft retail Utils . if its missing or renamed that can cause the (VoiceError:16) it happens when you don’t use the launcher and use only the Wow.exe to run the game

I launch from the App, and I just had to do a full Windows install and reinstalled Bnet App and WoW onto my SSD from scratch. Still getting the error…

Does voice work if you change DNS or use a VPN?

I’ve done, a full Scan and repair 6 times now, deleted the TTS-Cache for Account and Character, Deleted the ULT folder and reinstalled it with repair… I don’t use a VPN. nor have I changed any DNS Settings. I’ve never used the ingame voice chat because i have no need for it. This was a Fresh full reinstall of WOW on a new clean install of Windows 10 on my SSD… The only 2 addon settingsI copied and pasted back into my savedvariables folder was for Tradeskillmaster 4 and Weakauras. Ever other addon was reinstalled from Curse desktop app.

This is driving me crazy because it just happens randomly now on characters that the TTS setting in the UI is just blank with no options to change. its so werid https://i.imgur.com/jZ3nSwx.png

Right, I’m asking you to do those as a troubleshooting step. Your ISP or network may be blocking VoIP.

You will have to walk me through troubleshooting this then, because ive already done the Firewall config for Inbound and outbound settings with my firewall for the WoWVoiceProxy.exe and didnt help. TBH im getting fed up with it i Don’t wish to enable this setting or give it permissions at all. I just want to turn it off lol. It’s not needed and the error code is just annoying my OCD.

Tried this already , didnt work (edit*) And I’d assume this would disable any voice chat over all B.net Services Including games like Overwatch. Not just specific to Warcraft. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I appreciate the help Elocin :slight_smile: I’ll just deal with it mebbe blizzard will patch it or it will just magicly fix its self somehow.
