The “Aww, Rats!” quest in Stormsong Valley doesn’t seem to be completable. The quest requires you to stun rats with the quest item and then loot them. With the new interface, though, clicking on the rats just keeps using the quest item, meaning you can’t loot them.

did you ever figure out how to complete the quest? I am having the same problem of just continuously shocking them.
Hey I found the fix, when your in game at the quest spot for Awww rats type /console reloadui that will let you pick up the rats for the quest!

Note that /reload is a shortcut to that same call which is fewer keys and probably slightly easier to remember.
And I have to type it about 50 times a session these days.

Where and how do you type in the Console? I’m new and don’t know which one of what? Is there a Drop down Console like using the tilde key like in fps. Or, do you open the main interface? Either way, when I go to get the bilge rats after shocking them, all I get is my Skinning icon, and not the glowing hand.
Stumped.
Just chat. Hit Enter, a prompt will appear in the bottom left, and type in the command. Anything starting with a “/” will be interpreted as a command rather than you trying to chat it.

OK we need to go even shorter.
[edit] Hmm that doesn’t seem to work for me. Perhaps you have an addon providing that as a macro?
I found a solution, click on the mouse and when he is unconscious, drag the pistol icon from his backpack to the mouse, work for me, I found out trying to destroy the item

thanks for the tip about the “drag the bug zapper over the rat” to collect it
