I play Fury as an alt, very casually… not great at it, but I get by and have fun. I managed to get the Legendary quest item to drop for this toon, so completed it, only to reach the final scenario and get my a$$ handed to me. Does this scenario scale to your item level? I’m using a bunch of season 4 stuff and it is not doable. Do you have to go Prot to get this done?
I got this last season, like 3 weeks before the seasons changed. I tried doing it as arms, and got my butt handed to me. Remembered that I am not as good at Arms, so switched to Fury. Unsure whether 1) you could do it as prot (and considering the back half becomes a burn phase, you probably do NOT want to do this as prot if you could) or 2) if it is scaling with gear.
Don’t be scared/ashamed to treat it like actual content. Food buffs, phials, runes, drums. Leverage the small adds for impending victory healing.
Yeah, I buffed up and brought healing potions and everything. I guess I have to go research warrior DPS and min/max to get it done. Maybe I can fit a gnome priest in my pocket without the game knowing?
Make sure you’re spec’d into Improved Whirlwind/Meat Cleaver so you can passively cleave the small adds, your entire focus should be on the big add(Tempting Shadow) as they spawn.
The little adds are basically fodder for you to use for impending victory/victory rush in order to heal yourself, do try to avoid their explosion, but don’t be afraid to stand in the fire they leave behind, you basically want to move in a circle around the big add as the small adds die around it, and kill it before or as the next one spawns, it has a very very long cast that you can interrupt, so again your priority should always be to kill the big one you’re working on before moving to the next one.
Save your Big CDs(Reck/Avatar) for when you’re at 100% Discipline and break Fyrakk’s shield, when you break his shield pop your CDs, idea is that you only deal with 2 of his shields before he dies.
If you’re still having issues, you might need to look up a basic Fury Warrior rotation/dps guide on Icey Veins or WoWhead you might just be playing the class wrong.
This fight really isn’t about a dps check but knowing how the fight works then anything else. (I did the scenario back in S3 as Arms)
Your goal on this fight is killing the small fire adds to build up the power to break the shield of the boss so you can attack them. While this is going on, there will be larger adds that are the priority to interrupt and kill.
It is those larger adds that may be your biggest issue as they deal a lot of damage over the course of the fight. Once you break the shield, you enter phase 2 of the fight. There will be no adds in this phase, however the boss will cast a huge circle that can do lots of damage and fear if you stay inside it (The fight was a little buggy for me as if you got feared it reset the progress). Eventually the shield will go back up and your back to phase 1 and it’s then repeat till dead.
As for your question about doing this in Protection, I kind of doubt you can as you are wielding the axe (In some way) similar to how the Artifact quests were like.
It fell right over to me as Fury last tier. I could’ve one phased it with cooldowns or drums, even.
Did it get buffed?
