As title says. I read that if you have exp disabled this will also disable chromie. However I turned xp back on and went to her and there’s no options to choose a timeline. Is there a wait period after turning back on xp? Any ideas as to why Chromie doesn’t work for me? My character is very close to lvl 70 xpwise, but still 69.
Something seemingly buggy is going on with Pandaria btw. When ever I port there from stormwind, npc keeps wanting me to get on board skyfire and there is an icon indicating info. about a timeperiod. I hopped on skyfire and seems I do not have the quest for it. Already did it I think. That is the questline that leads to Pandaria campaign right? Or is it Warlords, Garrison? I haven’t done Warlords with this character yet.
Correct. For some ungodly reason we don’t understand, you have to switch timelines at 67 or 68. I can’t remember which. Or you just get screwed.
It has to do with them pushing the War Within quest to us at a lower level, I think.
Once Chromie pops up with the “you can move forward now” and you get the War Within quest, you’re either stuck in the timeline you’re in or if you leave it, you can’t get back.
Wouldn’t it be nice if after you leveled so many toons in current expac that you could then level to max in any expac? I mean, one would be the best, but let’s say 5 once you get that max xp boost from the warband achievement.
I mean we’d still be playing the game and it’s not taking anyone away from max level content so why not? They’re putting in so many speed boosts for leveling anyway. Just let folks have some variety on those last 10 levels.
Can’t you abandon the TWW Quest and then change timelines as normal? I thought it was having the quest that caused the issue rather than just being level 69 or whatever. Could be wrong.
(And yes, it 100% will pop up repeatedly, which is annoying)
They likely want to ensure the game looks as lively as possible and queues pop as fast as possible in the current expansion.
New Players / Accounts are funneled into Dragonflight on top of it being the default for people who don’t care to change timelines, so it’s always going to be somewhat populated.
TWW questing or dungeons are the only real options for leveling beyond 71ish, so that’s going to keep it populated.
You let veterans skip TWW and go level in Legion or whatever instead, and they will, and TWW zones and queues empty out, which can potentially be a bad look for new players being funneled through that path.
It wouldn’t kill it, because the same sets of players going through DF will be there, but it doesn’t present the best possible level of activity, I guess?
I get what you are saying, but the only time I see large groups of players (or any other players really) outside of major cities is at the theatre event on Tuesdays, lol. If what you say are their intentions, then I believe they have already failed due to CRZ. Dungeons and raids will be fine, since enough players desire the biggest gear-score once they hit max level.
I usually get the invite to the new expansion 1 or 2 levels prior to Chromie Time max. In this case 68 or 69. Then at some point I get a message saying I’m back in current time. But I’ve never had trouble continuing to gain XP to level 70 (or what ever the starting level may be).
I don’t have the WWI expansion so didn’t think I would get a quest from it. I accepted it thinking it’s strange, but anywho screwed myself. Will look at my questlog and see if there is anything I can delete that may help.
