ok, I see you are forcing me to get an authenticator to make groups in group finder. so I’m trying to set that up on my battle.net account and the confirmation code is going to a phone number that I haven’t had in awhile(heck it might never have been mine idk with the stupid stars and only last 2 numbers visible). anyway, when I try to update this it does the same thing! sends a code to that number, like really, why would not have this going to an email??? and the support page and answers are a joke, brings me right back to the changing of the phone number and wanting to confirm with the same phone number…WHT do think I’d want to change phone numbers for??? I wonder!
and while we are on the topic if I get this authenticator do I have to have my phone around and mess with it everytime I log in? If that’s the case then the hell with that.
You’re not forced, and you can make groups without an authenticator.
No. I rarely ever have to reconfirm my authenticator, and I’ve had one since they were physical keychains.
There are security settings in account management to either make it a trained system, where it will allow known system access with out the authenticator. Or you can if you wish lock it down to require it every time. I have the first option, and rare every get a request to allow access.
thanks for the info about the authenticator. but so far it’s looking like I can’t even set it up because of the conformation with a phone number I dont have. I did file a ticket, maybe that will straighten it out.
