So I recently noticed that no vendors in War Within sell any actual wearable armor, its all mogs now. Yes we get armor from questing, BUT I recently decided to start working on the achievement Algari Delver Tank. My warrior is usually Fury Spec, and so I had no shields. The only way I could get an actual shield on short notice (besides my lowly lvl 39 Heritage shield) was for my alt DF blacksmith to make one. Any thoughts or suggestions about this?

Murloc delve vendor where Brann and co is sells veteran track loot that is warband for ultra cheap. You may have to toggle the dropdown to see.
Reno (also nearby) may sell starter greens too.

Thank you for the info. I did check both already, Reno only sells mogs. I don’t have enough undercoin to buy anything from the murloc yet, but I’ll double check to see if he sells anything for gold. Update: Turns out I can’t buy any of the Murloc’s gear anyways until I’m nearly done with the Delver’s Journey; I’m only about half way thru atm. sigh
Do the night fall weekly for an easy adventure shield.

You need undercoins which are easy enough to get in lower tier delves. Run whatever you can easily do and buy your shield then.
And a BS can make a shield for you on the super duper cheap. Heck for 30 weathered crests (a trivial amount to get), it’ll even be 675 which is an ilvl you won’t replace until champion track t8+ drops.

Noticed the same this expansion and it’s actually a little frustrating. Had the same issue where I was checking every nook and cranny in Dornogal for a weapon vendor. Wanted to buy a shield so I could get a level 73 warrior into prot spec.
Nope. Not a single vendor in Dorn sells basic level 70 gear. I’m not sure when they quit adding NPC’s that sell basic gear

When professions can just make it with the most basic of materials and levels.
Like really even a halfwit BS can use rank 1 mats and bang out a 5 star blue of any kind. All the crafters can because I do that for my toons (including a warrior as early as this season).
And Undercoins aren’t hard to come by. Go do baby mode delves for a bit and you’ll get them…and EVERYONE can do babymode delves.

This is true, but I have a hard enough time getting undercoin even in T7 bountiful delves on my main toon, like maybe 30-ish UC? What’s a baby delve gonna give me? Update: Plus it looks like I can’t buy the gear from the Murloc anyways until I just about finish the Delver’s Journey, I’m only about half way through. sigh
I really don’t know what the going rate is for getting gear from placing Work Orders. Most of the WO I’ve picked up have several hundred gold tip plus mats. 
I guess I’m too cheap to spend that much?
It’s free money for a crafter which requires literally nothing from them other than hitting the button. It isn’t like the purple crafts which need concentration if you aren’t provided Rank 3 mats and them having mostly the blue quality tools and invested the knowledge points into all the various traits to get it to max rank. The blue gear is literally nothing but a button press. You can probably tip like 50-100G and someone will do it more or less instantly because, like I said, it’s free money.
Well maybe not right now since it is late on a Monday…but in general. Heck put the work order up and it may get done tomorrow evening when servers come back up because people want to do their crafting weeklies and usually look for free public orders over patron orders.

Which you have to do 6 billion delves , because of delve progress BS . before the armor stops being red, at which point, the season ends and you cant get it anymore anyway.
I have this race car that you could buy , but it is red until you win the race!
