According to a few folks here anything short of title pushing or myth raid hardly counts as playing.
Achievements and item levels don’t matter. Any player that says “I got this item level or achievement, listen to me!” or uses a similar mindset to demean other players isn’t worth listening to. If someone flaunts an old achievement you can get by one-shotting a legacy boss now and think it means anything is delusional.
Idk. I’m somewhat on the fence about it. I get why you feel it’s P2W, but the fact that the carry is a service from players to players makes me hesitate to agree.
That said, it is still something you can pay real money (tokens) to achieve due to that player-run service.
The idea of this guide is you do nothing. You let others carry you in dungeon to 80. You let others carry you in lfr. You let others carry you to whatever goal with the gold you make.
But I didn’t use your guide, or pay you for it, now I have my elite transmog, mythic item level, and 3mil gold in the bank without buying a token. I’ve technically been making money faster than what your guide suggests even if you won the rare drop recipe on every alt.
That’s not pay to win. Pay to win means spending real life money to gain an in game advantage. If you were to go buy some WoW tokens, then use the gold to pay for carries, that’d be P2W.
Then another season will roll out and you’ll have to do it again. And again. Forever. So, did you really win?
Also, who cares if people buy carries? I don’t. It doesn’t bother me that some random person out of millions of random people (maybe thousands?) who play the game has better gear than me because they bought some runs. I’ll just keep doing whatever I’m doing, and they can do whatever they’re doing.
But, I didn’t do anything. Except follow along in dungeons pretending. Again, you lose.
It’s breaking the games 'Tegrity
Like that wasn’t gone after vanilla.
You could get carried in Vanilla, too.
Doesn’t seem like PTW to me. You got the gold in game. You exchanged it for services in game.
WoW is pay to lose anyways, imo.
So, tell me how playing the game is losing again?
More like play to lose! amirite!! tap his knees in laughter
The recipes drop for anyone regardless of profession. Just roll.
Can skip step 1-4
People with the profession get priority, even if they haven’t put a single point in to it and you must not have learned the recipe. What I am saying is good luck on that roll after people start doing this.
I seem to of followed steps wrong and am now an AH goblin gold capped on 3 characters, I didn’t sign up for this.
Well, if the concept is about winning, consider this.
If it were a race, first place would be going fast while last place is stalled out. Paying for a carry is sliding the stalled car a little bit further but no matter how much they pay to be dragged forward, they aren’t winning the race when their progress stops as far as they are willing to pay. They might be able to reach the finish line, but it won’t be a celebrated achievement.
No, but everyone gets the same trophy and badge and their picture taken.
win what exactly ? it’s a pve game
This isn’t pay to win though.
