hey all, I just recently re-joined a previous guild I had left and everytime I try to access the guild bank, it says “You do not have permission to do that”
we have tried the following: guild leader promoted me, demoted me, promoted me again, I updated all my addons, I disabled all my addons, I logged out several times, I tried on all my other toons, the guild leader checked on some of his toons that are just “member” rank and his can access the gbank, not sure why mine cant.
Update- The guild is based on quel’dorei and I am now on area 52. The other people who recently joined from sargeras cannot access the gbank either.
I logged into one of my old characters who is on Sen’jin (a server thats paired with quel’dorei) and got her invited to the guild- and SHE COULD access the guild bank.
So this seems to be an issue with cross-realm guild bank access.
I am in the same position.
My Problem
- Guildmaster is leaving the game and wants to give leadership of a dead guild away to me.
- Guild leader can not promote me to new guildmaster.
- I also can not access the guild bank.
Details
- Cross realm character (area52) was promoted to officer in guild (kel’thuzad) after waiting a week to be eligible for promotion.
- Character could not be promoted to guildleader nor access guild bank.
- Guild officers have access to the guild bank.
- My account has an authenticator attached.
- Tried after resetting the wow interface per https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/7549 and still no luck accessing bank.
Currently have an open ticket which I’m not hopeful about and waiting a week for a new character on the same server/faction (alliance/kel’thuzad) as the guild to be eligible for promotion to officer.
This is really infuriating.

Not sure if your issue has gotten resolved but I am having a similar issue were we can’t promote or change permissions on guild bank access. I am hoping this gets sorted out after launch.

after a week of support tickets they told me just to submit a bug report. Please submit a bug report about this, so they know its more than one person having the issue!
I submitted one. I send my gold to an alt bank. My alt is the GM with GM permissions.
I did get 5000. from guild bank once after trying for a larger amount. So I then tried the 5k and got it. Tried again for larger amount and nothing. Did reset ui and got only a 1000.
Reset again, got 1,000. Smaller increments and now nothing.
I read there’s no fix and no workaround at the moment. The complaint I read was from 6 days ago so they are aware.
This leaves my gold locked away and no way to access it and apparently no word on when it’ll be fixed.
I really don’t want to send it all to the Warbank, if I ever get access to my guild bank that is, since that may even stop working. Figured it was safer in my guild bank. Guess it’s safe alright, even from me.
Just tried again and tried for 1000. Then tried 5,000. Was able to get 20k before it stopped. At this rate I might get the amount I was trying for.
