Cannot use Huge Ogre Cache

it happens to only one of my alts.

  1. It is an alt I created a long time ago. about lvl 75 before the 9.0 prepatch. I only get back to this character today or yesterday.
  2. I cleared a lot of quests in the garrison just like how I levelup my other alts, and my garrison is now lvl 2
  3. I cannot use the 3 huge ogre cache i bought from ah. It just said “you cannot use this item”. No error messages or any explanations.

Has it happened to anyone else?

Hi, I couldn’t use one either. But my alt is now level 42 and I clicked on it, and it worked. So maybe it didn’t get squished all the way down to level…1? 10? Whatever. I guess just keep leveling and hope it works for you too?

So it’s an UI error or ninja change thats not been updated and actually required level 40 instead of the ingame tooltip saying requires level 10?

Yep, at lvl 25 can’t use.

Definitely bug. Last week my Warrior was able to use one at either level 17 or 18 but this week my rogue can’t use one at level 18. Please can we get this fixed.

I, too, am having a similar issue. I bought 2 off the AH and had 2 on my lvl 50 (110) lock that I sent to this toon when she was lvl 27. The 2 from the Ah I was able to use but not the 2 from my lock. I get the message “You are too low level to use this item”. At lvl 36 I still cannot use them.

I’ve gotten the same “Your level is too low to use that item” error but with the Captured Dune Scavenger I bought weeks ago, even tho the tooltip says req lvl 10…

just curious because nobody seems to be providing any information other than “me too” (which doesn’t help with any sort of troubleshooting)

…are the characters experiencing this using Chromie time?

Used Chromie time to get to level 31.
Level 2 Garrison.
Failed to use Ogre Cache.
Turned off Chromie time to test.
Still failed to use Ogre Cache with error message “you are too low level”

STILL an issue. Reported several times here and also the Blizz-recommended Wowhead. I just got a reply that the GM had had “a few reports” of this and marked it “Answered”. So done with the bugs that go for months and sometimes years.

The next item you loot that rewards resources has 1000k added to it. Not sure why it works that way. It doesn’t just award you the currency

What level is the character this happened to? In Legion order resource caches have no indication on them when purchased by a higher level that there is a minimum level requirement, nor when the recipient looks at them, but when trying to use the item the recipient gets the error message “Must be level 40 to use this”. Actually it does not work until level 45.

Level 40 is the max level for wod, so it would make sense that they put a level 40 restriction on it. If it now works for a sub-40 player, this represents a change.
